Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop: 2016 Occasions Catalog

Welcome to the 2016 Occasions Catalog Blog Hop!  Some of us Stampin' Up demonstrators from the Stampin' Addicts group have joined together to plan a blog hop with a sampling of products from the new catalog.  We have our blogs linked but you can also click HERE for the complete blog roll.  You will not want to miss a thing!

The one set that I could not wait to experiment with was the Playful Pals Bundle which has a whole bunch of stamps (50 to be exact!) to mix and match to create animals and a coordinating thinlit set to make a petite little pyramid box.

I created a collection of valentine projects.

First is an ornament made by adhering two pyramid boxes together at the bases.  The hearts on the side are punched from one of the patterns in the Love Blossom DSP Stack.

Next are tiny treat holders (so cute!) made with the side triangles from the pyramid box.
And last but not least... some little critters.  Of course there had to be a few cats in there!
Thanks for hopping with the "Addicts"  Please click on the buttons below to continue on your way.    The NEXT button will take you to Mickey's celebration with the Party with Cake set and the PREVIOUS button with take you Yapha's totally cute Bear Hugs projects.

Stampin' Addicts Blog Hop: Sale-a-Bration 2016

Happy New Year!  It is 2016... can you believe it??!!  We have a Stampin' Addict Blog Hop to start the year with a bang featuring all new Sale-a-Bration goodies!

Flowering Fields is a pretty little line art stamp set that features flowers from around the world.  My concept for this project was to create a set of cards with one layout and four techniques.  Clear mount stamps are perfect for this as the entire card can be stamped at once and the layout remains consistent.   I started by arranging the stamps on the largest clear acrylic block in a pretty pattern then stamped away!

The first one is simply colored with Stampin' Up markers.

The second one uses the Spotlight technique.

This one uses the new Wink of Stella Gold Glitter Brush Pen to color in the images.  It is lovely on Crumb Cake cardstock.

The last is a stepped up version that has two techniques (so I guess there are actually five techniques!)  First is a rainbow effect achieved by coloring the stamp with markers.  Start with the lightest marker and slightly overlap the colors.  Quickly stamp before the ink dries.   Then the blue halos are created using a mask from the left over rubber that comes with the stamp set.  Pull off the foam layer from the leftover rubber, place the mask over the corresponding flower and sponge Soft Sky ink through the hole.

Thanks so much for starting your new year with the Stampin' Addicts!  Click on the buttons below for more stampin' inspiration.
