Our stamp set this time is Sea Turtle.   We have a very small hop this session- it is a busy time for everyone!  The great news is that this set will carry over to the new catalog so we will see more of this set in the future.

My daughter-in-love and I had a wonderful afternoon of crafting together and we both made cards with this pretty stamp set.

My card is done in blue tones:

Two step stamping and stamping off create the color variations.

And my DIL's is done in greens:

Adding ink with a sponge dauber to the stamp creates the color
variation on the turtle and black embossing really makes this pop!

I'm so glad you have visited today!  Please click on the buttons below to see more ideas for using the Sea Turtle stamp set.  Have fun hopping!

Stamp Review Crew: Taco Fiesta

Hello and welcome to the latest Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop!   We have an extra bonus hop this month. There are just so many great stamp sets we wanted to squeeze in another one!

If you click on the banner below you will be taken to the Stamp Review Crew website which has a complete list crew members and you can see all the past hops as well.

https://stampreviewcrew.blogspot.com/2017/10/beautiful-you.html

Our stamp set this time is the very fun Taco Fiesta set.  We have several March birthdays in our family and the funny sentiments were just the ticket.   I needed to photograph these outside to get enough light and as you can see it was a snowy day.  Thankfully that snow has melted and and we have signs of spring now!

The first card has most of the images directly stamped on the white background.  A few were stamped strategetically so they would be behind the polka dot layer.  A few more images were fussy cut to layer on top.  To make the fluffy embellishment I frayed some white bakers twine and dabbed it with the tip of a Poppy Parade Stampin' Blend.

The next card has the images stamped on the inside of the card that peek through the windows on the card front.  The second part of the sentiment is hidden until the card is opened.

The tacos on the gift bag below and the bowl of guacamole and chips on the card above are done with masking.  I think masking is a great technique.  I just have to remind myself that the image in the foreground is the first thing that is stamped then it is easy peasy!

I'm so glad you have visited today!  Please click on the buttons below to continue with the hop next.  Up next is our wonderful hop organizer Holly!

Stamp Review Crew: Saleabration 2023 #2

We have a very fun line-up of projects to share!  This is our second hop featuring Sale-a-Bration products.   If you missed the first one click on the banner below.  We have all of our past hops archived on our Stamp Review Crew website.

We have just returned from a wonderful trip to California visiting family and sightseeing. One of our stops was at the Descanso Gardens near Pasadena where the camellias were in bloom.  It was AMAZING!  The collection of camellias is the largest North America.   On the garden map they call it the Cameillia Forest and they were not kidding!  There were so many varieties and the most lovely pinks, reds, blush, and white blooms.

These beautiful flowers were with inspiration for my project using the Beautifully Happy stamp set.  I would guess that the flowers in this set are more likely hollyhocks but I am pretending they are camellias!

I used Melon Mambo, Flirty Flamingo, and Granny Apple Green Stampin' Blends to color the images.  I also used the Blends to add color to the Windowpane Check Ribbon.  I stamped the main flower and bottom leaf a second time, cut them out and popped them up to add dimension.

The inside is simply decorated and completes the sentiment.

Cindy is up next on the hop and she always has such pretty creations!

Stamp Review Crew: Love Cats

Hello!   With Valentine's Days just a month away the SR crew has chosen the ADORABLE stamp set Love Cats.  It is like this set was made for me!   I love the playful kitties and fun sentiments.   More kitties for Kittystamp!

Click here to go the SRC website to see all our archived hops.

I made a trio of treats to make a kitty lover's Valentine's Day sweet!

I have a bunch of ideas for this set and will be using it far beyond Valentine's Day!

I have wanted to make a project with a kitty stamp and Swedish Fish Candy for a while.  The kitty with her paw dangling over the edge was the perfect stamp for this.   I cut a 6 x 8 inch cello bag into 4 sections of 2 x 8.   That way I can make four of these with just one cello bag.   I used Tear & Tape to seal the top and bottom.

The background heart is punched with the same heart punch as the top heart with the sentiment.  I cut it in half and spaced it out to create a layered look.

This relaxed kitty is a tag for a gift bag of chocolate truffles.
The striped bow is made with white Baker's Twine colored with
light and dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blend Markers to get a perfect color match.

This last project was one of those "middle-of-the-night-when-I-should-be-sleeping" ideas.  Did you ever make a "buzzsaw" spinner with a button and some string?  That is what this head-over-heels kitty made me think of.

I secured Baker's Twine under the stamped image on the back with tape.

If you twirl the candy while holding the string and then pull on the strings it will spin head over heels!  I took a quick video of it in action.

And speaking of kitties (a lot - LOL) ... I haven't posted a kitty picture in ages.

Ronin is in love with the fireplace.   He sits as close a possible.

He likes watching the fire but falls asleep sitting up!

These are the candies I used for these projects.

Our hop is short and sweet and this time- just three quick stops!   Please click on the buttons below to continue on to see more cute projects!

Stamp Review Crew: Go To Greetings

Happy New Year!  Here's to a great new year of stamping fun!   The Stamp Review Crew already has plans for lots of creative stamping inspiration for the coming year.   Join us on our first hop of 2023!  Our featured stamp set is one that is really a GO TO set.  Hop along to see all the ideas for the Go To Greeetings set!

To see past hops please click on this banner!
These two cards are quite minimalistic to let the super cute Day at the Farm Designer Series Paper be the star of the show.

The flowers and windmill are trimmed from the DSP
and popped up on dimensionals.
(The paper is a Sale-a-bration selection available Jan 4.)

The sentiments in this stamp set are basic and the choice of fonts and sizes means they go with almost any style.

The sentiment is stamped with Saddle Brown Stazon Ink on vellum
and layered over a strip of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Here is to a new year of creative fun!   Please click on the buttons below to continue on to see more GO TO ideas and be sure to visit us for our next hop in two weeks!

Our stamp set this time is a cutie.   It was the first one that caught my eye in the Mini Catalog.   (A kitty stamp is always on the top of my list!)

These little critters are so fun to color.  I made a small scene complete with an origami Christmas tree.

I have a video and tutorial in the works for the Christmas trees and the bonus card below.  I'll add the link soon!

This bonus card is made with the left over pieces from the origami tree.  (Details will be in the video.)

Thanks so much for hopping with the Stamp Review Crew.  Please click on the buttons below to see more mischievous projects!
