Stamp Review Crew: Made With Love Edition

Welcome to the "Made with Love" edition of the Stamp Review Crew.  The "Crew" is made up of Stampin' Up demonstrators around the globe.  Our blog hops focus on one stamp set each time.  It is always a delight to see the amazing variety of projects, styles and techniques that the Crew members create.  One stamp set... so many ideas!

The Made with Love stamp set is so incredibly cute!! Love the adorable little images and sayings in this one.   It is not just a baby set as you will see as you hop from blog to blog.

This week I have had the fun opportunity of having a tutorial featured on Splitcoast Stampers.  It is for a basket with slats like a berry basket.   The tutorial uses a 12" X 12" piece of DSP to make a 4" basket.   For today's projects I have been playing around with smaller size paper to make petite versions of the original.

The littlest one is perfect for little treats or as a party favor.  I went with an Easter theme.
Uses a 6" X 6" piece of DSP for a 2" finished size.

The middle-sized one is nice for homemade goodies.   This one has some of my daughter's amazing artisian caramels.  A cupcake would fit just right as well.
Uses a 9" X 9" piece of DSP for a 3" finished size.
The biggest size has room for many things.  I plan to fill this one with baby socks for a sweet little baby gift.
Uses a 12" X 12" piece of DSP for a 4" finished size

For both the written and video instructions you can find the tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers.

Here are the measurements for the smaller baskets.

2 inch basket:
Score 6" X 6" paper at - 3/8", 2, 4, and 5-5/8"
Slats - 1/2" X 5-1/2"
Handle - 3/4" X 8-1/2"

3 inch basket:
Score 9" X 9" paper at - 1/2", 3", 6", and 8-1/2"
Slats - 3/4" X 8-1/2"
Handle - 1" X 12"

Today I am a Guest Tutorial Author on Splitcoast Stampers!  What an honor it is to be invited to share my tutorial with this wonderful community of stampers.

Once you see how these baskets are made you are going to want to make a bunch of them!  They look complicated yet come together quickly.

Party Pants B-Day Card

I entered my craft room this morning with the goal of making a quick birthday card.  I had a card in mind and thought "oh this will be done in no time."  Famous last words!  Somehow it just wasn't working.   After a few wastebasket-worthy attempts I checked out a couple of sketch challenges and this week's Freshly Made Sketch was just what I needed to get the job done!
Here is the sketch that saved the day!

Pyramid Pals Basket and Purse

Getting the tutorial for my Pyramid Pals Basket from the Stamp Review Crew Blog Hop took me a bit longer than I had hoped.  One good thing though is that in the meantime I realized the basket could be flattened to make a really cute purse.  And then I got on a roll and made a favor box version too.  So this is Three-For-the-Price-of-One tutorial.   (Oh and check out the ribbon on the first project...watch the video to see how easy it is!)

I just love the unique shape of these:
Here it is as a basket with bold contrasting DSP

A more subtle paper

With a clasp to make a clutch

Or as a spunky little favor box
And now.... the tutorial!
