Stamp Review Crew: Petite Petals

The Stamp Review Crew is group of demonstrators that host blog hops where we each create a project or projects using the same stamp set.  It is always a delight to see the wide range of possibilities from a single set.  I especially love it when the one chosen for us to review is kind of a quiet little set that does not draw attention to itself.  These are easy to overlook when browsing through the catalogs.  Today's set is one of these unobtrusive little sets.

Petite Petals has six little flowers each with a different style from realistic to watercolor, ornate to country.  And there is a bundle with a coordinating punch so the possibilities just keep growing!

I chose the realistic stamp to make a wedding card with Whisper White cardstock and Soft Suede ink.
The flowers are so delicate.
For the sentiment I used the Teeny Tiny Wishes stamp set.  In my opinion this is another hidden gem in the catalog.  I have had this set for a long time but it still one that I go to all time-- a sentiment for every occasion.
I played around with several ideas for the shape of the card base until I came up with one that seemed  just right.   The scoreboard is helpful for angling the card front.
I am including the instructions if you are interested.  If not please scroll to the bottom of the post to find the buttons to continue on with hop to see all the ideas the Crew has in store!

1.  Cut a 8" X 8-1/2" piece of card stock.  Score the 8" side at 4".  Fold the card in half.
2.  Place the folded card on the Magnetic Platform with the largest smooth Circle Framelit positioned as shown.
 3.  Run it through the Big Shot only until the circle is halfway through.  Stop and back up.  This cuts just the top of of the circle.  Your card now looks like this:
 4.  Open the card and lay it on the Scoreboard with the Diagonal plate in the place.  Place the tip of the stylus at the edge of the curve and score the diagonal line.
5.  Cut on the diagonal line.  Here is the resulting card base.  You can score a grid on the front or leave it plain.
Have fun!  I would love to see your ideas with this fun card shape!

Thanks for hopping with the Stamp Review Crew!
