Stamp Review Crew: Rose Wonder Edition

Welcome to the Crew's review of the lovely Rose Wonder stamp set.  Rose Wonder is a beautiful line art stamp set that can be used for so many cool techniques.   I decided to try a completely new thing for me.  Painting on fabric!
For the black fabric I stamped with Whisper White Craft Ink and on the white fabirc I used Basic Gray Archival.  Since I painted over the lines they are not seen in the finished project and it is not a big deal if those wash out.

I used a metallic fabric paint by Lumiere which is soft and washable once it is heat set.  The flower is just two colors- a purple and a white.  I painted each petal separately starting with the full strength color then mixing in some white and finished with white.  In the center I have some smaller petals that are all purple or all white so they don't run together.
The leaves were done in a similar fashion with green and white paint.  This was really fun and actually simple to do.  I am not confident with shading so I looked on Pinterest at several samples of how people had shaded this stamp with watercolors to give me an idea of where to place the dark color.  Once I had done a few petals I got the hang of it.  Both came out very pretty- I kind of like the one on the black fabric a bit more as the contrast of metallic and black is more pronounced.
I have been missing sewing (especially in the winter I get the bug to sew!) and made these into oversized potholders.   My potholder/hot pad collection is pretty lacking at the moment so these will be put to immediate use.
