The set I chose is "Window Shopping" and am focusing on the sentiments for my projects. So often I pick a stamp set based on the graphic images and only later give the sentiments much attention. The sentiments in this set have such a clean simple style that they are ones I can use over and over again.
Here are my three cards... each one uses the Petal Passion Designer Series Paper with its wonderful black and white graphics.
The first is an ultra-simple layout.
A hand-colored card for someone lets them know how much they are cared for. |
Stampin' Blends are so easy to work with! |
The second card was the result of an unexpected discovery.
A bonus technique! |
When I was assembling the first card I turned over the completed colored layer to adhere it and this is what I found...
... the Blends had bled through to the back making a lovely watercolor-like background "behind" the black leaf graphics! So I quickly colored another section of paper ( I love the coloring process so I that was great with me!) and cut it up in squares. I rotated the pieces and mounted it on a black layer to make the leaves more prominent.
The sentiment is heat embossed with copper on vellum. I also added a tiny bow tied with Copper Trim. |
The last card is another simple layout. I used the lines of the DSP to created a fun pattern with the itty-bitty cupcake image and the Tutti-Frutti Adhesive Backed Sequins.
A fun secondary pattern! |
Very fast with the adhesive already on the sequins. |

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun way to use the bleed-thru from the Stampin' Blends! My eyes were crossing with the graphic cupcakes, but it's a really fun effect.
ReplyDeleteJaw. Drop. Discovering the beauty on the back of the colored DSP.....wow, just WOW! I was thinking "What stamps did she use on that?" Now I need to go color some, too!
