Time for a new edition of the Stamp Review Crew's Blog Hop! We are changing it up slightly this session as we are featuring a single background stamp rather than a stamp set. Just wait until you see the wide range of ways Crew Members have used this wonderful classic patterned stamp!
As always, we have our blog permanently linked so you can enjoy this and all past hops at anytime. If you click on the banner below you will be taken to the SRC website with details of crew members and a full listing of past stamps the "Crew has reviewed"!
Buffalo Check is such a great classic pattern. It can be rustic, sleek, subtle or bold depending on color and tone choices. I used this stamp recently for a whimsical card set with brighter Fall/Halloween colors on a light colored background. The effect was fun and energetic.
I thought this time I would go for a more stately look with dark ink on a rich colored background. I experimented and found the lovely combo of Blackberry Bliss ink stamped on Rich Razzleberry paper.
The classic colors and plaid made me think of a designer purse.
I would love to have one IRL in these colors! |

ReplyDeleteI can see I'm not the only one who's experimented with different color combos! But this one I haven't (yet) tried. I especially love the strip of Buffalo on the card. Perfect if you're intimidated by trying a whole panel of pattern. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHow do I find your pattern? I want to give some small gifts and this would be perfect. I love these two colors by themselves, you just showed me, I love them together too! What are those round things next to your bag!
