Inky Friends: Suite Designs Blog Hop

Welcome!  Our Inky Friends group has a unique blog hop prepared for you!  We are highlighting the many beautiful suites of products in the Stampin' Up Annual Catalog.

I chose the Wood Textures Suite which has the awesome stamp set Wood Words (one of my favorites in the whole catalog),  a super framelit set that makes a wood crate,  wood grain DSP and really cool copper trim.

For todays projects I am switching the wood grain paper with the seasonal Spooky Night DSP to make a Halloween set.  All of these projects would be really cute with the Wood Textures paper too! Hmm... I may need to make another set of these:)

First I made a test tube treat holder with the Wood Crate Framelits.  I made two inserts to fit inside the crate to hold the test tubes in place.  The inserts are two crates cut off at the first rung.  I punched holes in the bottom before assembling them.  Both are turned upside down and fit inside. One sits at the bottom of the crate and one near the top to hold the tubes upright.
The image from Wood Words is embossed on the front before assembling

Next is a little treat box that holds one Hershey Nugget.  I made a tiny box by scoring a 2" x 2-1/2" piece of cardstock 1/2" from each side.  Then I adhered the "ends" of the crate diecut to the sides. I thought the "Fresh Treats" sentiment from the Wood Words set was cute with the potion bottle punched from the DSP.
Pull the front and back together with Copper Trim

This is a treat topper to fit on top of a 2" wide cello bag for Halloween treats.  The Copper Trim is pretty cool when pulled apart.  It creates a spider web look and holds it shape really well.
The moon is copper embossed.

Last but certainly not least--a kitty card!  It is a super simple card using the Spooky Night paper and the sentiment from Wood Words.
A kitty for Kittystamp!
