We are using the Art Gallery stamp set for this edition. It is a three step stamp making the shading easy as can be. Because I wanted to try using the Gilded Leafing Embellishment, I chose the rich color scheme of Merry Merlot and Cherry Cobbler to complement the gold.

It is a hard to capture just how pretty this
is in a picture. I like this one so much that I am keeping it as a
decor piece on my piano. |
The gold gilding really adds an elegant luster. The center is stamped with VersaMark Ink and then Heat & Stick powder provides the necessary tackiness for the gilding. Tear & Tape can also be used to adhere the gilding. I experimented to see if Tear & Tape plus ribbon would work and it turned out wonderfully! I just stuck a piece of Tear & Tape along the middle of the ribbon and rubbed the gilding on. The resulting ribbon is completely flexible.
I liked the gilded ribbon so much I decided to make another card with ribbon as a focus. This time I used the Gorgeous Grape Sheer Ribbon.

I used a piece of cardstock as the base to weave the ribbons. The ribbons are taped on the back. | |
